Caitlyn has a good point about those leaving Spotify. They are leftovers. Their music is pop music. Such music is by definition, not "significant". The music my mother listened to was not something my generation was really into, although most of it was jazz and swing, so I personally was into it. My sons listen to very different stuff than what I grew up on. That's the way it is. Pop music is not as much of a long-term money-making proposition as podcasts. Podcasts are the future. Live video and audio are dead I no longer have cable. I listen to Fox, and all other sources, strictly from the recorded versions. I know lots of other people who do as well. The only thing left to watch live is sports.

@marlenestockton2269 Don't doubt that is true. But music is a malleable thing. People tend to listen to what they liked in their youth. It is habit. When most of the boomers (and I am one) are gone, it will change to a new set of 50-year-old songs. So, I don't know what your point is. If these songs were not available, people would find something else to listen to. As for better than the new stuff, that is a matter of taste, but as I said in my comment, it is all just what is popular at the time. I don't listen to any of it, so I don't care. I don't need to be entertained by something I heard when I was a teenager. Except for a small amount of the music produced, that is always true. It is a matter of taste. If the people who like Joni Mitchell more than anything else are upset, they will go somewhere where her music is available. So what? Spotify has about 155M subscribers worldwide. About 61% were in Europe and North America. Those regions have a population of just over 1B people. Thet means most people do not listen to Spotify. So, why are we talking about this?

Rob, it is always about money. From the first newspapers to the most advanced modern tech. So, to say that is to diminish the argument. Fox is a about money (this is not a criticism; I am a fan). These are all commercial enterprises. Just look at what is happening at CNN. Fortunately, unlike the days of scarce broadcast spectrum, we have a massive number of choices. If Spotify made the anti-business decision to get rid of Rogan, he would find somewhere else (there are new outlets springing up). Spotify is also a public company, and the shareholders could have something to say if corporate decisions adversely affect the bottom line.

Considering the grammar of your comment, you are probably not that well educated. If you have some response that elucidates your opinion, then state it. @leonahamilton5803 Your opinion. I find their music forgettable. Just my opinion. Yours is obviously different, and that is fine. Taste in music is just a matter of opinion. I prefer jazz and classical music. Just my taste.
