This is a point I have made many times. In the UK they have a similar debate. They also have massive inflows of people of color. Refugees who land in the EU struggle to get to the UK. They don't want to stay in the EU. As we know, the US has this situation as well. You can only call the US, or the UK, racist when people of different races stop wanting to come. To call a country racist because of a minority is foolish and uneducated. Harris talks about these people like Jon Stewart coming down from the ivory tower. These are not intellectuals, or even very well-educated people, based on what they say. That is my problem with the discourse in this country. The people who are in media are often stupid. I exempt Fox News from this. Frankly I am impressed with the intellectual quality of the Fox presenters and pundits. When they run clips from other networks, I cringe.
