  1. McCarthy was the leader during an election where the Republicans performed way below expectations. In any other field that would almost automatically bring change. McCarthy does not inspire. It is time for the party to try something different. In the Senate, McConnell needs to go as well, for the same reason. These leaders have not performed and do not inspire.
