  1. Well, ALL supreme court nominations are political. That is not a problem. Politics is not a problem. It is how we organize our governmental institutions. Just consider the whole idea of Supreme Court nominations. Just consider how many qualified people there are. Many won't consider it. A good example is Ted Cruz. He clerked for the Supreme Court. He has taught law an brought cases before the Supreme Court. He has been considered, but his interest is in the political realm. I actually had a general council for one of my businesses who had argued cases before the Supreme Court. This is a very specialized realm. If the nominee is competent, any political consideration is valid.
