  2. Yes, they fought in wars alongside Americans. They fought in many of those wars more as part of the British Commonwealth than the US. Their government is described as a "federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy". The King of the United Kingdom, Charles III, is their head of state. It is time for them to move on.
