The whole idea of which "race" is going to lead the world comes up time and time again. It is not only in Europe. The Japanese believed they were the master race. They believed they could defeat the US because we were a bunch of mutts, not a pure race. How did that work out? The Chinese today have the same idea. Despite their actual history, they believe that China should have a bigger place in the world. This ignores the fact that their whole recent economic "miracle" (really a facade that is about to come crashing down) was financed by the west. Left to themselves they would be a third world country. They are heading that way.
