  1. Full self-driving is a total scam. That plus all the electronics are just a way to justify high prices. A friend of mine actually was looking into a large screen that modeled the Tesla screen for his ICE vehicle. It was only a few hundred dollars. If the goal of EVs is to lower CO2 emissions, there are lots of other ways to go. First, and most importantly. reduce the power of the motors. That would increase the range without any new battery chemistry. It would also probably lower the cost. Even in ICE vehicles, the cars have way too much power. You, in fact, cannot use all that power legally. I had an early 2000s ICE vehicle with a 3.5L engine that produced 250HP. That car was very peppy. I replaced it with a vehicle with a 3.6L engine that produces 306HP. Same gas mileage. With the new engine technology, they could have put in a 3.0L engine producing 250HP or so and increased the fuel efficiency by about 20%. No one cares about global warming, no matter what they say.
