  1. Good analysis. As I like to say, "Don't fear the BRICS." I think he ignores the current situation in Russia and underplays the structural corruption in Russia. As for what China has done to Brazil, you have to remember that Japan did something similar to the US. It wasn't outright theft, but their government supported large conglomerates called keiretsu. I think things are loosening up there. In South Korea they are called chaebol. Same thing. We need to pressure these countries to dismantle or diminish state support for such firms.
