  1. Good analysis. The latest I heard out of India is that they were planning to buy 1,000 US Stryker IFVs to replace Russian BMPs. In the recent past they have been pulling away from Russian arms. It will take time. For example, they dropped out of the SU-57 program. They bought French Rafale fighters. They are also buying other US equipment and, in many cases, planning on co-producing the systems (as seems to be the case with the Stryker). They are also beefing up their own defense industry. I often joke that the Ukrainians should charge their western backers a marketing fee. Western weapons are more in demand than ever. What they have done to the Russian defense industry in terms of foreign sales is epic. By extension, the Chinese defense industry struggles with foreign sales. After all, their stuff is a low-quality copy of Soviet/Russian stuff and the corruption there is at least as bad.

  2. Precisely! The Israeli experience and the US experience in Iraq, twice, proves that. Those situations also disprove the old saw that the attacking side needs three times the number of troops as the defending side to be successful. The weapons, and tactics, are "force multipliers". People seem to forget that, but that is dogma (and a correct one) in the US military.

  5.  @darkcircles1313  You must be kidding me. Do you think that the US precipitated this war to test weapons? That is the implication. If you hadn't noticed, it was Russia who invaded Ukraine, killed many civilians, stole children, etc. They continue to conduct a terror campaign against Ukrainian civilians and there are many heinous war crimes documented including rape and murder of civilians. They even blocked Ukrainian grain exports causing food crises in lots of other countries. As for no end in sight, I disagree with you on that. The end may come earlier than a lot of people think. You may want to get off your high horse.
