I love how many the pundits have their list of what one side or the other has to do. At least he is starting to show some humility. For one thing, the Ukrainians are using a NATO style of planning and operations. This explicitly is designed to react to specific conditions at the time of action and allows for going outside the plan. The Russians can't do this. I was going to say won't, but I truly believe, given their history, that can't is the right term here. The Ukrainians are using this to totally disorient the Russian forces. They have them running scared. In fact, yesterday the Russian force literally ran, and this was from a small unit action. There is lots of talk about the fortifications of the Russians in the south. Are you kidding me? What do you think all this armor and weapons the west has supplied is good at dealing with. Go back to the Gulf War and the Saini in the Arab Israeli wars. The OPFOR were dug in in both cases, and were overrun in days, if not hours. Russia is toast.
