This is usually the first video of the day for me. I have coffee and a cigar and watch this and one on China. While I love the videos where Peter is out and about in scenic places. On the other hand, this one was very entertaining in a totally different way.

@texasoilfields Glad you found it useful. Actually, if I may, I must say that watching events in the world today, from US policy to China to Germany to Russia and the EU, and having read all of Peter's books, I feel like I am watching his prognostications coming true in real time.

@texasoilfields Agreed. He would probably agree as well. It is not the details I am interested in, but the trends. He would also agree, and I think has said, that the timing is not something he can give, just timeframes.

For the EU to be successful, and more than a protectionist bloc, it really needs to adopt a US style Federal system. Either that, or it needs to concentrate on economic matters and free trade internally, while having little to do with the internals of the member states. That is sort of what the UK wanted prior to the Brexit vote. The EU said go pound sand. That is why Norway and Switzerland are not part of the EU. The problem is that the EU is made up of countries that have long, long histories and strong and unique cultures. Having lived and worked there I have experienced the situation. Even the US did not have to deal with such diversity in the beginning, so I would say the best they can do is the latter option.
