The Russians were successful throwing large numbers of troops and artillery at an enemy once and everyone assumes this will work again. The success in WWII was more of a fluke than anything else. That success depended on what other countries did and on the internal dynamics of the country. Even Putin understands that there are limits. He is not Stalin, and the Russian Federation is not the USSR. Why do you think he has not done a general mobilization? The reality is that if Hitler had not gone all racist on the Slavs, he had a very good chance of winning. It was a pivotal point at which the Germans could have turned the population against the Soviets. Instead, they proved themselves to be just as awful as the Soviet leadership. Just look at Russian wars before WWII. The Winter War with Finland. World War I. The Russo-Japanese War. The Crimean War. The Russo-Japanese war caused a mini-revolution. WWI caused a full-scale revolution. The Winter War was a contributing factor in Hitler's decision to invade the Soviet Union when he did. That is a lot like the situation today where the US withdrawal from Afghanistan influenced Putin to start his full-scale invasion, oh, I mean special military operation, in Ukraine. Why do you think no other major power has really followed the Russians in their style of war? The people who think about these things in other countries have studied it and know better.

Peter, when talking about a bunch of drones the term is not "fleets" but "flocks" or "swarms". Trust me, there are lots of discussions on this on other channels.
