Great analysis. I wondered, when this phone came out, about statements that it had "5G like" capabilities, as opposed to being a "true" 5G design.

@肖宣羽 No, in this case 4.5G. Look at the published analyses. They talk about "near" 5G speeds. By the way, 5G is a lot more than speed.

@bd8594 How much do you know about the semiconductor industry or 5G communications? This is not China bashing for its own sake. The fact is well established that Huawei mostly stole, and did not develop, its 5G communication technology. In addition, Huawei received massive government subsidies which distort the market. Basically, they (really meaning the government) don't care if they make money. The reality is that China is years behind in chip technology and did not develop that technology itself. Even as China tries to catch up, the west continues to progress. It is a race that China cannot win. So, if you really think China will get to the top, you are sadly delusional.
