The footage doesn't speak for itself? Try this: ask yourself what your instinct would have you do, then compare that to what you see here. Something starting to dawn yet?

Calmly walking away from a bear is left wing trash? I didn't know politics worked that way...

@cg1906 Not me, I'm just direct. Nowt to do with mood.

Handling, as in dealing with, like dealing with a situation. Not as in putting hands on.

You would, and I have no idea who you are. Completely irrelevant though, would be nice to not see politics mentioned for at least half an hour...

How come polar bears are so much more aggressive? Would that have anything to do with there being less food available, therefore them going hungry more than their cousins in warmer climates?

No. Bears are a lot more athletic than they might look, do NOT run. Running makes you look like prey, and prey you will become.

That makes that twelve-year-old a lot more of a man than you.

Animals don't want to attack, they're driven by instinct: fear, hunger, provocation. Don't be a threat or a competitor and don't behave like a meal, and in most cases you'll be fine.

You try and hold a camera and speak with your hands at the same time! :p

Not just the dad. Lad's earned one too.

What are you going to do? Tell the bear off in a stern voice?

The filming might actually help in keeping calm, might make the experience a bit more surreal than it really is and keep the people involved from panicking and doing something stupid.

You might want to learn a thing or two about bears before calling someone a coward. He kept his son calm and directed him to a safer place, you sound like you would've gotten yours and yourself killed.
