  1. you forget that in the first constitution when they got independence from the british it was stated that the ethnicitties could get independent after 10 years. this was maybe written with positive thoughts but it can also give people hope of their own country and with that maybe a resistance army etc. so the basis was already a bit shaky and not right to keep a country together as one.

  2. india already supported the army by selling them weapons. but the rebel groups (freedom fighters in general) will defeat the tadmadaw anyway. it will just take time. who do you want to support india? militairy dictatorship or the innocent burmese people?

  8. it seems that those ethnic groups agree on 1 thing and that is the destruction of the junta. with that alone there is maybe a lot more cooperation possible for 1 country with a lot people. lets hope. cause if they do decide to fight eachother for each their own state the violence will never end. and i do think they all want the violence to end.

  9. race, ethnicity and religion often more than we want devides us. tribal warfare is in our genes, if we want it or not. its a dangerous instinct though but we should be aware of it. and also understand that we all have that inside of us. its human.
