  1. It all started in 2008. So much industry never came back, standards of living declined and never came back. Unemployment will be structural and civil unrest a real thing. The rentier class is finally at risk.

  2. The larger picture is this: monetary policy now has zero traction, very near to where Keynes called a liquidity trap. From here we historically experience significant inflation and a large scale war before we emerge to a more viable, distributed system. As wealth becomes more and more concentrated, can the haves pick the pockets of the have nots for another cycle? Easy to see food prices up 2x to 4x y.o.y from here.
