You'd think, with the world population having reached 8 billion (doubled in the past 50 years), that we would actually be trying to limit the population.

@arcadiaberger9204 "It was religious people who got you religious freedom." How does that make any sense to you? People came here from Europe to escape religious persecution. There were theocracies governing all the major countries back then. So, when the founders wrote the constitution, their first amendment made it so that our government wouldn't establish a state religion, or be able to persecute anyone for their standpoint on religion--and that includes having no religion at all, and therefore not having religious nonsense be made a law.

@arcadiaberger9204 They were seeking freedom FROM religious persecution. Other people were practicing what they claimed was religion ON THE FOUNDERS. Get it? So the founders weren't all Christian themselves. These include John Adams, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, Ethan Allen, and Thomas Paine.
