Actually such prejudice as what you wrote IS a slippery slope. If you can hate people you don't know, to such an extent, then how many others will you hate, and how much will you hate? I'm sure there were people who were just as cynical about letting women vote, or allowing African-Americans to hold an office with authority. Let's be clear: Change and difference scares some people to death, while the rest of us welcome it.

How many other people, how many "libs" are you assuming to know too? Grouping tens of millions of people together, people you don't know, so you can pretend to know them (because you assume to know the group) is stupid and absurd.
