  1. "Dark and grounded...." Bottom line is this is still a movie about a man with a mask and cape. It has been around since 1939, when maybe it wasn't much of a stretch for a comic-reading kid to imagine such a thing--and pay a whopping 10 cents for it. The more people try to make superheroes realistic, the more I think everyone has missed the point, unless the point is to get money from all the people who wouldn't even pay 10 cents for something called Detective Comics.
