If you dehumanize someone, it makes it easier to hurt them. We've seen this in war, with all the slang names for the enemy (which I don't want to repeat here). And I hate to play the Hitler card, but that's what he did in Germany to the Jews.

@cassiusdhami9215 Probably so. That or they made it up, so they could claim how LGBTQ attacked them first, grooming their kids. And that justifies an attack in response.

@jesseelves959 I didn't forget it. But the rules put forward to people who had just been freed from centuries of slavery, and had no laws otherwise, and who lived some 5,000 years ago--on the other side of the world--and whose practices were actually nowhere near as literal as the Bible made them out to be, have next to no bearing on us here and now. There's a big difference between the long list of Mosaic and Scribal laws, and the healthy lesson of forgiveness, humility, and understanding.

Good point. They seem very sure that all it takes is seeing anything but heterosexuality, and BOOM! They're gay, dressing in women's lingerie, putting on makeup. I guess that's why they invented the "grooming" thing: Kids are being taught to be something other than hetero, seduced before they even hit puberty. It makes no sense, until you see it really as an excuse to target anyone not hetero, accuse them, dehumanize them, and so on.
