If it's old, that doesn't change anything. By just focusing on that part of it, you're communicating that you're fine with what she said or did--even if you aren't.

@roberttolbert7002 This is the 21st century, when everyone has a camera. You can be caught on your worst day, acting like a racist, nationalist bigot--if that is indeed your worst day, and not a normal day for you.

Americans like that lady are angry because they know that they could never ever learn a second language. Maybe they did in high school or college, but not while they're adults--because that would go against their assumption that they know everything already.
