If Republicans were really interested in doing what the Bible said about love and marriage, they'd do one of two things, which they aren't currently even trying: 1) Men must give a dowry to the woman's father to buy her. Then she must cook and clean for her husband. According to Biblical law, the husband can divorce her at any time, for any reason, but she can't divorce him. 2) Love one another. Love your neighbor as yourself. God is love. I know everyone already knows this, but what conservatives say has nothing to do with the Bible.
