  1. Their politicians and media make them miserable: feeding them hatred, bigotry, and conspiracies. And then they tell them the only people who can fix these problems are MAGA Republicans. Everyone else, but MAGA, causes the problems. And MAGA alone can fix it all. It's the classic sales technique of "our brand is the best," but mixed with nationalism and prejudice: typical for cults and authoritarians.
