Comments by "ncwordman" (@ncwordman) on "Trump Supporter Compares Trump To Jesus...Literally" video.
Wait, so in comparing Trump to Jesus, the guy first said that all the apostles were "pretty much all trash." That means he's saying Trump is trash. Right? Then, "And even Jesus was dating a hooker." So he's saying it's okay for Trump to fool around with hookers. Right? Does he even realize he's using whataboutism to say it's fine that Trump is trash and fools around with prostitutes, because that's what Jesus and the Apostles did?

First, holy wall of text, Batman. Secondly, using numbers does not make it a mathematical proof.

@flamingbeaver9414 "You may call me an atheist in a derogatory manner, but you yourself are an atheist, just against those other countless religions." You actually don't know anything about me. We should start there. I am an atheist, first of all. But I write essays on the Gospels, because I've found more there than just belief and paying money to grifters. I'm not asking you to believe anything. I think belief is usually very very dangerous, because it gets substituted for the verb "know." I'm just telling you what we know of the history, which (as I said) isn't much. What we have to refer to here is the actual text of the English translation. But that's good enough to know a few things: First, the guy in the video is extremely incorrect, and believing all kinds of junk that isn't in the text--while assuming his beliefs are facts. Secondly, the OP is correct.

The Bible doesn't say anything about it. That guy had to take a few leaps in interpretation to come anywhere near it. For example, Jesus drove 7 demons out of Mary Magdalene. She's mentioned with him having done that, and then forgotten about until the end, when she's the first person to find his tomb empty. There has been some speculation that Magdalene was a prostitute. And that she and Jesus had a thing going. This was in the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ." But only what I wrote above is actually in the Bible.

@kennypowers8114 I learned a lot from the Muppets. Doesn't mean I'm a muppet.

Well said, Rory Gay.

@autonomousstardust2 Oddly enough, however, Rome may very well have been the reason some form of Jesus/Christianity survived.

There's nothing in the Gospels about this at all.

@flamingbeaver9414 90 years later was the last one, supposedly: Gospel of John. No one really knows for sure when or by whom they were written, though. What the OP wrote is based on the English translation (which didn't happen until the 17th century). And that was based off documents that still survive. So what the OP wrote is based off what we have, and can point to. What that guy on the video cannot be based off what we have or can point to.

Yeah, Jesus was "the lamb of "God" too. So their reasoning defies all logic or consistency.
