  2. Religion isn't necessarily telling YOU anything. The religious leaders are speaking to their practitioners.

  3. We're going backwards because going forwards requires a huge change. And we haven't moved far enough away from our barbarity to handle it. Imagine trying to do multi-variate calculus, when you don't even understand trigonometry or algebra. This is a case of the students failing their final exams, and demanding that they be held back another year (or 2, or 10, or 1,000).

  4.  @danedwards6094  "Wake up" It's ironic: The ones who tell others to wake up are often asleep themselves. They confuse their slumber, which is a state taught to them by their propagandists, with being awake. And so they mistake being awake, and not bulldozed by propaganda, with being asleep. Projection, in other words.
