  1. Everything tends to have inertia: An object continues in its current state, until/unless an outside force changes it. So stupid, ignorant people remain that way. Unfortunately, due to the Dunning-Kruger Effect, stupid people are usually too stupid to realize how stupid they are; to the contrary, they assume they're a genius...a very stable one at that.
