A "town hall" packed with Trumpists, who clap and laugh when he wants them to, was a really bad idea. Giving Trump a platform is bad enough, but having him "validated" by those nutbars damages the nation's standing in the world. To talk with Trump, you'd need fact checkers on hand. You need to know his greatest hits, and be prepared to shut him down, shout over him, turn off his mic, slap him in the face if necessary. Like most bullies, a good punch in the nose would set him straight.

She did what any sane professional would have done. But the only way to shut down Trump is to get down in the mud with him, and be a pig too. That's why he acts the way he does, because no one can stop him without losing their job.
