  2. Words are extremely powerful. Think of the lyrics to your favorite song. Think of being told "I love you" by someone you care about. We communicate with words: There are other ways too, but mostly it's through words. Whatever comes to us, comes through words. Think of how angry "pronouns" make some people. Think of the word for something you really like. Pause a few seconds, just thinking that word. Then think of the word for something you really hate. Notice what those words do to your face, stomach, heart rate. I could go on and on. But most important, here: The power of words is known by those who practice propaganda. There are the people who sell you things, through jingles and slogans; politicians who say this or that to get your vote or donation; and con artists who take people for millions of dollars--all using nothing but words.
