I'm convinced that Trump rarely speaks directly to the nation, or the world. He's talking to Trump supporters. What he says is propaganda meant only for them: That's the reason he sounds so stupid, because he's talking to people who--in this case--don't believe the Coronavirus is even real; or, if it is, then it's no worse than the flu; and they also love new, big missiles, and space force.
