David, sir, I hate to play the context card. He was talking about Obamna (sp), and it's from February of this year (6 months before Harris accepted the nomination. From Snopes: "While telling a story about Air Force One and the call sign for when a U.S. president is aboard the aircraft, Trump referenced its age and also former President Barack Obama, telling the BCF audience, "I love this great equipment. Although the plane's 32 years old, I ordered new ones, and I saved $1.7 billion from what Obama was willing to pay. I have to tell you, [he's a] Black president, but I got $1.7 billion less. Would you rather have the Black president or the white president who got $1.7 billion off the price? I think they want the white guy right now. Got $1.7 billion off the price."" @Joshsalt The worst part is, this edited version was released by the Harris campaign. I don't think we need to make up anything about DonDon: The reality speaks for itself. But it had the desired effect. Even though I normally fact check stories, this would have slipped by me. So I feel twice embarrassed, and twice...I'll just stop there. Thank you for being on your toes.

@kgreen4411 I agree. David didn't edit this for release, though. That's the tough part. The Harris campaign did. Makes me feel like crying. I know how that makes me sound. I just thought we were better than this. As you said, there's plenty of stuff he says and does every day. They don't need to invent something. :(

@jonhoge153 He isn't even being racist. Mentioning race doesn't make you racist, anymore than mentioning crime makes you a criminal. You have to disparage someone because of their race to be racist, which is how her campaign edited that clip. So yes, it was a lie. And I'm a Democratic voter, by the way, just in case you think I'm some Trumpist.

@jonhoge153 Maybe you should just look it up, on Snopes, like I did. But first, he wasn't even being racist there, though he has been many times. Mentioning race doesn't make you racist, any more than mentioning crime makes you a criminal. You have to disparage someone because of race.
