@annakingry9157 Educated vs uneducated, i.e., knowledgeable (and willing to learn) vs ignorant (and hostile to learning). It's been that way in this country all along. The pioneers, the Daniel Boones and Kit Carsons, lived apart from civilization: either some, a little, or most of the time. They stopped going to school in their childhood. Of course, Kit Carson and Billy the Kid received education that fit their lives, but it didn't come from books. (Though Billy did learn to read.) There was no science, almost no literature. Then there were people who lived in the cities. They went to school, such as it was. They learned to read, and read quite a bit. The gulf between the two groups grew over time. Finally, we have MAGA, which is cave men living in the 21st century. What they call "research" is reading conspiracy theory message boards. They refer to college as "liberal indoctrination."

Hmm. Let's say you're MAGA, got some time off. What do you do? Leave a voicemail on the Pakman show, of course. These MAGA people are so desperate for acknowledgement, approval, something to give meaning to their lives. Pity they can only find it by being hateful. They must see themselves as "fighting the good fight."

@cheryltindell5471 Good point: anti-Judaism more than antisemitism. A fine point. Okay. So you're suggesting the original comment above referred to the caller's religion? "Religion is a hell of a drug" And the caller's religion includes anti-Judaism as one of its traits? What religion is that? Sorry to respond when it's late. It's okay if you don't want to get into this.

@mantisfistproductions I do realize it is because of religious belief. But I wouldn't call religion a fairy tale. The writer Joseph Campbell called religion "misunderstood mythology." And I agree with him. But, as I think @ulrichkalber9039 was saying (if I interpret them correctly), it isn't just religious belief, but personal belief that is causing all this mess. Belief is when you don't know, but claim to know, because it's a belief. Most everyone has beliefs. I'm one of the few (I think) who is willing to accept that I either know or I don't know. I hold no beliefs. Beliefs are dangerous, since they supplant facts. And there is no believing in a fairy tale.

It's xenophobic supremacy, seems to me. "some denominations have something called Replacement Theology" I've heard of replacement theory. Same thing? Ostensibly, "the Jews are replacing the....": I forget who they're supposed to be replacing, Caucasians, essentially? "just who is the "chosen" people" Wish I had a dollar for all the people in history who believed they were the chosen ones.
