  2. "could it be that it was not an algorithm but one or more right-wingers complaining to Facebook" That's what I'm thinking. Social media can't possibly investigate every claim of "hate speech," or other violations of their code. Nor do I think they ban everyone who gets reported. But, perhaps, if enough rightwingers join together and do it as a group, then that might make it happen.
