@binghamguevara6814 Name your own. You're obviously obsessed with this, so it must mean a lot to you.

So it's still the same old "state's rights" garbage. I thought we did away with that in the Civil War, when Lincoln no longer left it up to the states to decide if they want slaves. (I know: I'm naive and ignorant.) We can't leave civil rights up to states. It's that simple. We can't leave human rights up to states. We have too many backward people in backward states to leave it open, as to who gets life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

@Gulliver That's an interesting idea: tribal lands. Come to think of it, if I got married, I'd love it to be Native American style.

@Kristian You know people often have relatives come in from out of town, or from another state. They stay with or near the family hosting the wedding. So...what...Everyone meets in some other state? The people hosting the wedding have to host it in another state? You know how hard that would be?

Amen! If I have to put up with MAGA, then conservatives should have to put up with people they don't agree with. You think they'd know their Bible's Golden Rule.

@jupiterran That sounds right.

@MuffinsAPlenty The other problem here, besides the obvious attempt to deter people from getting married (as you wrote) is that it shows LGBTQ they aren't welcome. Right? Separate drinking fountains weren't really too much out of the way. Were they? Having to go to the back of the bus, and then even give up that seat to a white person if the rest of the bus was full--a slightly different location in the same bus. Separate churches, schools, diners, all saying the same thing: We don't want you. You detest us. And the law is on our side. I'm sorry if you don't see this. But it's the same thing.
