@burningmisery Wow. I think this is an excellent point. We've all seen how much the modern conservative uses projection. And we've all seen how against the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum they are. Sure, they claim it's because of Jesus or Leviticus. But they hardly strike me as the kind of people who study the Greek and Hebrew Bibles, and read scholarly commentary, in order to understand what a 2-3 thousand year old text is saying. So it's not really because of religion that they're so full of hatred. What, then? Using Occam's razor, I'd say they are (mostly) all just as curious as they can be. They want to outlaw gay marriage, and shun homosexual relationships, so that they will never be tempted to follow their own hearts.
