His supporters are the bottom 20% of American society. Someone has to be there. So it's them. Repub politicians appealed to them, and cater to them.

I'm five minutes in, and can't watch the rest. Couple things for the curious: Each of the four gospels ends in a slightly different way. It's in Mark that we get the craziness: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. / And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues" (Mark 16:16-17). Anyone who has read much, and has even a sliver of imagination, knows when to take something literally, and when the writer is speaking metaphorically. However, imagination is very hard for some. Now, do the people who speak in tongues believe it? Some do; some don't. But it's certainly not every Christian who does it. Secondly, in the text Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." DonDon's treasure is literal treasure; so that's where his faith is.

@gleanerman2195 No it isn't. First, 71 million Americans total voted for DonaldMcCheese in 2020. In that year, the census shows approximately 221 million Christians in the country, from a total population of approximately 331 million. That means, even if all of TrumptyDumpty's supporters are Christian, it's still barely one-third of their total: so not the majority, let alone all of them. Secondly, these are evangelical Christians, not Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, etc. Finally, to judge so many hundreds of million of Americans in such a sweeping, thoughtless way, isn't the slam dunk you believe it is.

Part of the reason it's so close is so many people don't vote. In 2020, the census shows 258 million adults in the U.S.: 74 million for DonaldMcCheese (28.6%); 81 million for Joe (31%). That leaves about 100 million adults, people of voting age, who didn't vote. That number is greater than the voters of either party. All those people aren't making their voices heard. Who would our elected officials be, if even half of them voted?
