  1. The economy was great pre-Covid, in Trump's term, because it was Obama's economy that he inherited. The economy doesn't turn on a dime. But his mishandling of corona led to the economy being in the gutter, which was then inherited by Joe. Part of DonDon's mishandling of it was that corporations leaned into price gouging, to make up from profits lost due to Donny's mishandling. That continued into Joe's term (because those corporations loved getting more money), and is the cause of prices being high, even though the economy that Joe fixed is doing great.
