@markzuckergecko621 If everyone thought the same, then that would also do the trick. Yes? So if we were all Elvis fans, or all thought cake was better than pie, or all recognized that Trump is the dumbest MAGAt of them all, then we would all get along. But there's nothing really accomplished that way. It is because we're different, and still have to live together, that, when/if we finally do have the wisdom to come together, then it will be truly an accomplishment we earned...and own.

I've purposefully avoided this story, as I know the false equivalencies the MAGAts would use. I'll wait for the full story to develop, skipping the drama and the Republicans' faux outrage.

I have also telepathically declared cake to be the ultimate victor over pie; and cats the complete and total victor over dogs; also, the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie is the best of the whole MCU. So you can all go about your business, knowing that I telepathically rule the world, from my comfy recliner (with a kitty in my lap). @roddyboethius1722 "we are never gonna come together. We are enemies." Like "forever," never is a mighty long time. And that was really beside the point I was making, which was this: If we were all the same, then we could all get along. But that wouldn't be any great victory on anyone's part. Like goes with like. The real journey of discovery and growth comes by coexisting with people who are different. Keep in mind, I tend to agree with you. But that gets us nowhere: might as well not even think about it. But if you want to think about it, then you have to have something to think about.
