And you mean principles like accusing someone of hypocrisy, while you're being hypocritical? The reason why whataboutism is a logical fallacy is because you're hypocritical, while claiming the other person is.

Being without imagination and critical thinking, Republican voters are far too literal minded. They believe "Defund the police" means to take away all funding whatsoever from police, every single penny. They'll bring you a snowball as proof that there is no "Global warming." And while these slogans could have been worded better, it wasn't the diction that confused the Republican voters; it might not even be that they are too literal minded: because when "Global warming" was switched to "Climate change," their new stance was, "The climate is always changing." And they have said for decades that "Guns don't kill people. Guns are inanimate objects." So the modern Republican base is made up of ----holes. That's all. That's the one thing about them that is for sure. They might even be intellectual giants, with unbounded imaginations. But their first love, their allegiance goes to being cruel, vindictive jerks.
