  1. Passover always seemed pretty somber to me. Do people actually say "happy Passover"? I know they're happy to be alive. But the angel of death killed all the first-borns of Egypt: human and animal. Maybe they think of it as just a story? So all those innocents, including the newborn calves, tadpoles, not to mention the humans who did nothing wrong--they didn't actually die, like 4,000 years ago? Just a strange thing to associate with the word "happy."
