  1. The Nazis took over everything: the police, press, and had eyes and spies everywhere. Anyone who was even slightly likely to cause them any trouble at all was arrested and sent to a camp. So when/how would the Jews have rebelled? Make no mistake, they did rebel. Imagine. But there were too few of them, and the rest of the population was against them--even those who weren't strictly Nazis themselves.
