That evidence is so "trace," that it isn't proof, though.

And all without proof that is the least bit verifiable. That should tell you something. Surely 1 or 2 out of 10,000 would have something that would prove their claims.

The whistleblower I saw, in a video today, was not actually involved in any way with the UFOs. He knew someone. That's all. Now this whistleblower was in the military. And, somehow (it was unclear how), he knew a person or people who were actually involved, who saw the craft, etc. So, at best, he has anecdotal evidence. The whistleblower came forward with nothing but anecdotal evidence! That's a horrible thing to do, if you want to blow the whistle.

"Wouldn't their existence completely discredit the idea of gods and religion?" Not necessarily. If you believe your god created everything, then your god could've made aliens too. As for Heaven being above us in the clouds: Ancient civilizations, like Greece and Persia, used to believe their gods lived at the top of a nearby, very tall mountain...until people climbed that mountain. So then they said it must be the next mountain over. And so on. Until someone got the bright idea to put their gods in the sky, where surely no one could reach. But then humanity sent dogs and chimps, and eventually human beings into orbit, and to the moon. No Heaven. So it must be the next mountain over? Hubble telescope shows no Heaven. The next one then? So I doubt aliens would ruin any religion.

I don't know what you mean by "most," or "study the universe," and scientists don't tend to "believe." Science is not about believing. However, "we aren’t the only living creatures here" is possibly true, if by "here" you mean the universe. There's likely lots of life out there. How much, where, or what kinds of life, I don't know. But some kind? Sure. Why not? I got my bachelor's in physics, masters in astrophysics, and going for my doctorate in quantum. So, when you talk about scientists, I'm one of them. Just be mindful of that. That thing about "an extraordinary claim needs extraordinary evidence" is science. It's called "The Sagan Standard," and named after Carl Sagan, a scientist.

I think Bigfoot is cool. So maybe Pakman can do some Bigfoot shows? Or you know what's cool? Springsteen. Pakman should do some shows about Springsteen's music. "Thunder Road" ftw! Or you know what's really cool? Ice. Pakman could talk about Iced Tea, both the regular and the Long Island versions, sweetened vs unsweetened, whether or not adding lemon is best; he could cover "Ice, Ice Baby," and maybe sing a few lines, while playing a thumping bass. Or maybe he can just continue what he's doing. Right? :)

@bkm2797 "It's just plain silly to think we are alone." Given the size of the universe, I agree that we are most likely not alone. But what could that life be like? You know we haven't explored over 80% of our oceans, and that there are blind shrimp living at the bottom of the deepest oceans? They can survive because of the volcanic vents down there. Now that's life. But they are extremely different from us. Visible light doesn't exist for them. What about a planet whose sun emitted some other primary radiation source, besides visible light (like ours does)? How would they see? Radio waves? Infrared? What about life forms who evolved from something other than carbon? You know how different they'd be? If life has visited us, maybe they can't survive outside their space ships, like in War of the Worlds. Life is one thing: Life we can communicate with is something else.

@LittleBitofHopeToo2518 Life is a very weird thing, indeed. But taking it to a ball game is the real test. hehe. I've read about these shrimp that live at the very bottom of the deepest parts of the oceans. And the only way they survive is because of volcanic vents down there. That's life. They're alive. They won't be visiting us any time soon. And I doubt they'd have any interest in baseball. :) You know we haven't explored more than 80% of our oceans? Think of what all kind of life there might be. And we still haven't found it. So there's likely a lot of life out there, beyond the atmosphere. There's certainly a lot of space. But life we can recognize, that would even be visible to us? That would even recognize us as being alive? That, I don't know.

Anything is possible. But after all these years, we have no proof. How long has it been, since the mid-50s? I neither believe nor disbelieve in anything. Show me proof, then we can talk.

@jamesvanderbilt201 I'm studying for my doctorate in quantum. Actually away from school now, recovering from 3 months spent in ICU after 5 surgeries within 2 weeks. So I'm home reading, and yes, sometimes watching youtube.

You can't read everything everyone has ever written. It's impossible. You ever thought of how much time you have to live, subtract all that you have to do, and see how much time you have. And then see how much you can read? Your time on earth isn't infinite. So I'm not going to read what some yahoo writes about UFOs. Besides I have read a great deal of what has been written already, when I was younger. What are you going to spend your time studying, looking into? Study a foreign language (or multiple languages)? One or more musical instruments? Math, science, history? What kinds of math, science, or history? How about reading? If you read one novel per week, then that's 62 novels per year. If you do that for 50 years, that's roughly 3,000 novels. What will those books be? You have to choose, spend your time in the way that you think is best. So if you want to look into UFOs, go for it. Fine. I've certainly read about 10-15 books on the subject. But I see no point in looking further, because there is nothing to look at but guesses and lies.

Let's see: Trump is in line to be the Republican candidate for the next President, and he has been indicted civilly, and now is under federal investigation. And UFO sightings are...well, UFO sightings. They can't be corroborated or substantiated. We don't even know if they're real. So if Pakman prefers to cover Trump, it's because Trump is real.

@CorpsmanPrivateer It would actually make more sense then sending living alien astronauts, though. Right? I'm not a UFO enthusiast, or whatever they're called. But I do like Occam's Razor. And if there's any explanation that would fit the razor, it's the drone idea.
