@UngoogleableMan Since you quoted Jesus as saying, "if you do not hate mother and father, brother and sister, you can not follow me" and "I come not to bring peace, but the sword," and you must know that Jesus did not actually teach the literal interpretation of what you cherry picked there--does it not also follow that there's more going on with the Bible than your four quotes? The books of the Bible were written thousands of years ago, in another language, for another culture. To believe you have a handle on it, any more than the Trumpists is dubious at best.
