I don't see why JP Mandel is unable to admit that it was an empty campaign promise, that anyone with a single neuron could've seen right through. Their base won't care. Their media probably wouldn't even report it. And if some of the base did catch it, and were concerned, they'd be distracted immediately by the next "squirrel!" the Repubs threw at them. If I was a RedHat politician, I'd have the most fun talking all the time about what a bunch of knowNothingBozos they are. They'd get away with it. Just do it! But they can't even be that honest.
