I'm sorry to play the Hitler card, but he, too, in the early days, lied and slandered--at such a rate that, by the time he was proven to have lied, he had lied 100 more times. It's early fascism 101: overwhelm your populace, so they can't think, feel, or care.

Excellent assessment, David. Trump supporters believe Trump, and follow his directions. The rest of us knew Trump was lying all along...because it's Trump, and he lies. Case in point: Now that this has been released, what will happen to Trump? Sure, some reporters will try to call him out; Trump's mouthpieces will spew garbage; Trump will tell more lies, obfuscate. And everything will go on as before, as if the Woodward tapes/book were never released. Anyone who can hold Trump accountable, doesn't.
