@northvalley06 games have grown so much more in content value than the price. Just look at a game from the early 2000s. Modern games have 10x the content but are barely more expensive. Games are still insanely cheap. And that's the reason why all these gotcha mechanics exist in games. Making games is way too expensive that just a buying price of 50-70 dollars/euros cannot cover the costs. Contrary to public belief, games actually don't make that much money, there are tons of jobs in IT where you can make so much more money than in game companies. And if you don't like it, don't buy it. But don't act like you have some kind of moral right to cheap good games. You don't. I much prefer them raising the price than adding gambling mechanics into a game. THAT is an immoral practice that deserves all the criticism. But please stop this bullshit, you do not have a right to games. All you can do is be glad that there's an industry that is willing to provide them. And if you don't like the way they are priced, you don't have to do that. You do have that freedom.

Unpopular opinion here: Splinter Cell conviction was a really cool game. I don't get this hate for trying to innovate a series. Why would you want more of the same game? I mean if you want the older splinter cell experience, you can just play that game. I liked that they tried to send things in a different direction, it creates an actual new game, not just more missions for the same one.
