  1. Yeah literally any high school has 1000-2000 bikes in front of it, depending on how big the school is. There usually are more bikes than students, because close to 100% of students go by bike, and a significant amount of the teachers as well. This picture was literally just anywhere you are looking somewhat close to any city centre of any city in the Netherlands. If you get to Utrecht Centraal, you'd find an underground bike parking station with over 10.000 bikes parked daily (yes, 10.000 bikes in one parking garage!). And there's literally another parking garage for bikes on the other side of the train station as well, just not as big. Those are so big they are actually labelled with rows and numbered stalls because indeed otherwise you'd never find your bike back. On normal streetside parking, it's the same as finding your car back, you just remember where you put it.
