  1. It for sure has to do with diet, but it also has to do with burning calories. Just walking/cycling to places does a LOT when it comes to preventing obesity, particularly really extreme obesity. If you sit down in a car everywhere, you need to actively exercise to have any movement at all. And active exercise requires a lot of determination and time, so it's very understandable a lot of people don't do it. But when you are active just going places, that helps so much.
