  1. Why is it sad news for car enthusiasts? Electric engines are way cooler, the specs that electric cars manage are way better than ICE's. There is a reason that Tesla's are winning all over the place when it comes to acceleration mainly, which is practically way more important than top speed (which outside of some german highways is practically a useless spec). Electric engines are awesome! Basically every short distance dragrace they win and in general electric cars win if you compare them in price category (it's not really fair to compare a model 3 with sports cars clearly designed for performance, even though they manage quite well, mainly in short distances). Even formula 1 cars are part electric engine nowadays.
