@zertyuz that woman was made baroness because she's in the House of Lords though. She wasn't born as a Baroness.

Well, not wanting to be like Americans is rather understandable of a position in this day and age. It's not like the US political system is model to be emulated.

@SeruraRenge11 well I'm neither British nor American, but considering Americans as something that is not to be emulated is like the default opinion of the vast majority of people that are not American. It has nothing to do with being British upper class. If you walk through a random European city and ask people to give a few terms to describe Americans, probably at least 4 of the top 5 answers are negative. I literally do not know a single person that has a positive view of the US. It has nothing to do with the British Empire, it has everything to do with the USA being what it is.

@SeruraRenge11 I've been there twice. The national parks are amazing. Most people aren't though. The culture is so insanely toxic.
