@Roman_Sobieszczanski-Paszteski Poland has been the wisest in NATO concerning the invasion of Ukraine, I can't but question the other governments more to the west who think this fight is still 'to far away to panic'. Russia will not stop in Ukraine, Poland knows and we should learn to listen.

'vanishing industry' -> Europe was never a producer rather we export knowledge. If you can't keep up, don't blame the rest. Btw, all regions have issues, not just Europe. And there is no 'vanishing industry', just less factory jobs due to automation ( keep up will ya.. ) and factories moving to low wage countries. But job totals are still growing, 'crazy green policies' also employ many people btw... 'UNELECTED corrupt politicians' -> Really? Guess that's why the EU mandates certain levels of democracy and separation of powers ( judicial and legislative ). 'there is a scandal' -> again, turn on the news and you got a scandal everywhere... Brazil those 'crazy' far right Bolsenario's which did a Jan6th insurrection copycat, NZ the PM resigns probably because of pressure / threats, In the US they found a politician ( correction, they found another Republican ) who lies even more as that bad orange man, he even lied about his mom being in the wtc during 9/11 and tried to get people to invest in ponzi scheme's. @Kirgoss This is a youtube comment section and you're using actual ... words... to make sentences which not only make claims but then also actually show some common sense. I'm shocked. Have a like. As you just said, in my many years I think I can count the times I actually see someone genuinely change their mind after a 'discussion' on YT. And I'm still not sure if in those times I witnessed something positive or not, since YT isn't capable of offering the depth needed to determine if they changed their minds based on new insights which they checked on logic and accuracy, or if they just were lazy and went ow ye w/e Separation of the judicial and legislative branches in order to prevent corruption is not just an EU requirement, I think it is the only long term stable form of government. I think Poland is going through a phase with the current talks on EU, they need the EU more as the EU needs them. That's the whole premise of the thing, it only works if the sum is greater then it's parts. The EU is culturally different, but if we really share the same goals then there is no reason we can't have the same 48 individual 'states' united under one federal government for the betterment of all.

Right in the center of the screen there is a tear through most of the video. It's a hook, I was checking my screen thinking I damaged it by bumping something sharp into the screen as the tear appeared black... ran my nail over the screen, tried to wipe it off... then I thought: wait, why didn't I see this earlier then, and I decided to move the video -> the 'tear' moved with it. That green screen corner really got me spooked <3 Btw, slava Ukraini and bardzo dziękuję Poland ( I hope google got that one right.. thx Poland! )

@chrisrobert5252 I don't think the French defeat is what painted them black in most eyes, but rather the Vichy government level of cooperation with the German's. It's nonetheless true that the Dunkirk retreat left France alone, and that it's easier to hold out on an island. Then again, even the island would have been suffocated were it not for the US's industrious conglomerate to aid both Europe and wage war in the Pacific. I'm Dutch, this country fell in days ( ofc we weren't prepared just like now we wouldn't be prepared ). There were some real battles and for what we could we put up a fight but then they bombed Rotterdam to pieces and the rest is history. Again, the shame of France in WWII is not tied to it's military defeat not in my humble opinion, it's tied to Vichy-France's behavior where they aided the German's almost eagerly in aspects of the German regime which should never been aided but sadly has been in many countries. Yet, most is written about Vichy-France and I don't think that's just writers bias.

@sebcioo You sound like you're from a country like Hungary... You know, that country which wants all the EU money but doesn't want to hold itself to EU laws. If you want the benefits of being in the EU, you follow the laws or you get fined end of story.

@sicily7220 It doesn't deserve a prize in a beauty peagant, but they managed which is the important part. The threat of Russia dictating policies through it's energy exports has also been stemmed once and for all. Much of the 'scrambling' were btw existing contingency plans with a lot of planning behind them, though I agree it's been through measures which aren't helping climate goals. We should be looking at nuclear to help with the transition to green energy, if we're ever going to be able to be reliant on just green energy ( so we have to solve the storage issues ).

Dutch PM is campaigning for stricter EU border control and no more unrestricted travel inside the EU ( so, staying in the country one entered the EU in... which when looking at a map is perfectly understandable for a country which through lack of funding and proper management has been scorned more then once by the Human Rights court for how we let immigrant families sleep outside of our admission centers... ). Yes there is finger pointing on the right, again this always happens in a crisis. WWII only happened because of the situation Germany was in after it's defeat in WWI. That's why all Dutch requests for wartime reparations after WWII were all denied, the powers that be deemed it to much of a risk for another breeding ground of far right nationalism and extremism. Don't worry, the chest puffing will go away when the crisis goes away... another reason the far right loves anarchy it helps them sustain some active membership through hardship.

Merkel was pro taking care of refugees... something Poland for one has been doing since Russia attacked., but you're still saying the same humanitarian stance taken now shouldn't have been taken then because... ? What? Different 'region' probably, as any other defense would make this to easy.. So, we should've put Turkey in a position to blackmail the EU more? I mean, Syria is not that far from EU borders... compared with Ukraine, right? Or is it more about 'culture'? Sorry man, won't deny there is a lot of chest puffing on the far extreme right... there always is in a crisis which can be blamed on refugees. You won't stop immigration and that's a good thing. @chrisrobert5252 I for one never saw the French nation as having capitulated without a fight, they were totally not prepared for the German circumvention of the Maginot Line and then they were left on their own. If France would have fought on it would have ensured the deaths of countless French civilians, and there wasn't a strategic outlook where France would be victorious. In my opinion the French surrender was not something which brings France shame. I know it's a meme to depict the French of always advancing backwards in a fight, let's just say I think this idea is only perpetuated by the uninformed. The surrender was not the issue, I would have conditionally surrendered to. But I would do so to protect the French civilian population, and not to aid the Germans in fact I would have ordered all forces capable to only scuttle at a last resort if joining up with British forces was impossible. France had quite the expeditionary force, and capability inside of France which wasn't under immediate threat from German or Italian occupation. We all know how this turned out in reality, sadly.

The audacity is astounding. I do agree refugee streams due to conflicts need better management, and preferably closer to the country of origin and with a better return policy in place. But that means giving 'unsavvy' states like Turkey more power to blackmail the EU because they are holding millions of refugees they threaten to send over the EU borders. It's not that easy, most of the conflicts have been in regions where the countries around them don't have the ability to take in that many refugees. Even Turkey is taking millions of EU money to hold those same refugees they constantly try to blackmail the EU with. It's therefore rather laughable to claim that the humanitarian crisis can be solved by having local countries take in more refugees, it's just a trope for the most part.

@b.ballooon9225 Thanks for clarifying that you're concerned that refugees from a muslim country are worth less then those of a christian country. And no, Poland doesn't have the right which is why they are being fined for not adhering to EU agreements. And ofc they can cry about leaving, but that's just a very small vocal part. The rest knows that even if they are fined 2 million, they still get tens of millions in EU funds per year. The far extreme r4cist pigs always get more vocal during a crisis, look at the 30's a century ago nearly. Sadly for them, modern day society isn't open for such backwards tropes, they are to *WOKE*. And their few countrymen who like blaming 'others' when times aren't as great as they would like, feel free to immigrate to countries like Hungary where they are as anti immigration as possible. Don't get me wrong, I love the Poles for how they are talking to the dum dum's in the west for not recognizing Ukraine isn't fighting just for itself, and I talk with enough people from Poland to know that the PiS might be in power, their stance doesn't represent that of the population. Btw, great sidestepping the whole: but what then? Do we need to give countries like Turkey more leverage to blackmail us with by having them shelter refugees only to be threatened with them in each conflict thereafter? Or is it more important that human refugees are being sheltered, not withstanding what policy one wants in place for their assured returns after their country is safe again?

The US has the biggest wealth discrepancy among all developed countries, you can't even take care of your homeless veterans because those programs are to 'socialist' and people need to 'work to earn an income'. I think the entire world is upset about the Uygurhs but everyone, including the US, wants to be able to buy cheap stuff or sell stuff to 1.2 billion Chinese.
